Arnaud Desombre is the Chief Liquidity & Capital Officer of SG US, a position he has held since July 2014. He joined SG again in March 2010 as Managing Director, head of Global Markets Trading Risk, after a 15-month experience on the Buy-Side at Amber Capital, an event-driven long/short equity hedge fund where he was derivatives specialist and risk manager. Prior to joining Amber, Arnaud has been trading and managing equity derivatives trading desks at major investment banks for 20 years, in Europe and in the US. In 2006, he joined Rabobank International in New York as head of US equity derivatives trading and later became head of US equity derivatives. From 2004 to 2005, he was a Managing Director at BNP Paribas where he headed the US stock option desk. Prior to that, he spent 15 years in the Equity Derivatives division of Société Générale where his last position from 1998 to 2004 was Managing Director in charge of the US stock option desk and electronic option market-making activities in New York. Arnaud is a French and American bi-national. He obtained his MSc degree in 1989 in Applied Mathematics from Ecole Centrale de Paris (now CentraleSupelec), a leading engineering graduate school in France.
